austriamicrosystems Launches the World's First Integrated Measurement ICtoReduce System Costand Boost Performance of Power Inverters. The AS8002 precisely monitors the voltage and current of electrical power injected into the power grid.

The AS8002 is a highly accurate measurement IC that allows monitoring the generated energy with low cost shunt resistors or other sensors for the current and resistor dividers for the voltage. This approach allows avoiding more expensive sensing devices while achieving the required accuracy for DC and AC measurements of current and voltage as well as stability over the operating temperature range of the inverter.

Features:

  • 12 bit 100kSPS ADCs for accurate voltage and current measurement
  • Programmable gain amplifiers to accommodate for different sensors
  • Three multiplexed inputs to the 12 bit ADC for secondary measurements that require high accuracy and fast sampling rates
  • On-chip temperature sensor
  • On-chip voltage reference with small temperature coeffi cient (10 ppm/K typ.) This reference is available at the pin REF
  • Low power on chip oscillator
  • SPI compatible interface
  • Internal registers for easy offset and gain compensation
  • Interrupt alerts (including Under Voltage Lock-Out and Over Temperature)´
  • Independent programmable over current interrupt

Applications:

  •  PV inverter grid monitoring
  • Wind inverter grid monitoring
  • Isolated voltage sensing
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies
  • Power conditioners

Fujitsu

Fujitsu High-Performance, Low Power Touch Sensor Controller

The Touch Sensor Controllers (TSC) offer a simple, reliable and aesthetic replacement for virtually all mechanical buttons and sliders across many markets, such as industrial, home appliance, mobile, consumer electronics and office equipments.

The touch sensor controller converts the capacitance generated between a human body and a conductive touch pad into digital data, without any analogue signal processing. It detects a touch completely in the digital domain, by comparing the sensor input impedances with a built-in reference impedance.

The high-performance, low power Touch Sensor Controller is available in SSOP, SOP and QFN packages. The device features fast response time, consistent sensitivity and lowest power consumption. By enabling cost-efficient implementations and offering a high degree of design flexibility, the device provides an extremely user-friendly solution for touch sensing applications.
